Welcome to our first blog post! Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of B. Marie? If not, I'm not at all offended...
If we're not yet familiar, my name is Shannon, and I'm the owner of B. Marie Accessories! I wear many, many hats—but for the sake of brevity I'll focus on just a few in our first post. By day, I work a full-time career as a Technical Education Content Developer. Yes, that's a mouthful on it's own, but in short I create ecosystems for capturing, sharing, and managing organizational knowledge. When I'm not using my words at work, I'm stretching myself creatively creating social media content, visual graphics, marketing campaigns and everything in between running B. Marie. While our appearance at events will be few and far between while I shift most of my focus on school, I wanted to create a space to continue connecting to our deeply dedicated community offline.
XO, B. Marie will feature monthly musings from me on topics ranging from fashion accessory and style trends and tips, and a little real-life in between. Because keeping it real is just one of my favorite past-times, y'know?
You won't see the typical, boring commentary on what's hot and what's not or who's wearing who—but exciting reflections on what styling and accessorizing for myself really feel like. For instance, silk scarves and neckerchiefs are seen these days accentuating preppy outfits, western-inspired wear, and streetwear looks. As much as I adore how they look on everyone else and the versatility in styling them, I'm more inclined to reach for a good hat because I still like to layer my necklaces. However, I'm (sometimes) open to change!
You're in for a real treat if you've ever wondered where I pull creative inspiration from, or how I stay motivated. I don't exactly wake up a creative, comedic, content marketing genius, but faking it has given me some merit.
